Veronica Micle Memorial House

Built in 1834 by Neamț Monastery as a dependency and school for monks, the house was bought in 1850 by Ana Câmpeanu, mother of poet Veronica Micle (1850–1889), for 100 gold coins. It is the only memorial house in Romania dedicated to Eminescu's muse, who held literary evenings here attended by Mihai Eminescu. The museum dates from 1982 and its exhibition was reorganised in 2010 for the poet's 160th anniversary. Three rooms recreate the period atmosphere with late-19th-century furniture.
